The Pacuare River is considered one of the most beautiful rivers in the world and we give tribute to its magic at Ave Sol River Sanctuary.

The Pacuare River is considered one of the most beautiful rivers in the world and we give tribute to its magic at Ave Sol River Sanctuary.

Shake off the dust of your travels and jump into a Pacuare River adventure. The Rio Pacuare is always a highlight for visitors to our country.  It was first run in 1981, and since then has become known as the most beautiful and exciting rafting experience in all of Costa Rica and one of the top five in the world. The lodge is nestled right by the river and will greet you with spectacular views of the river and Turrialba Volcano.

Ave Sol is an authentic experience of the Pacuare River basin; a brush with the local values and culture. Enjoy the pristine water, breathtaking scenery and delicious meals, while knowing you are supporting conservation efforts within the jaguar's remaining habitat.

Our lodge is remote, rustic and blends into the surrounding wilderness. We can offer customized trips for private groups.
